This fire engine ended up in
Tbilisi, Georgia in May 2002.
The water tanks were removed for the journey so that the internal space could be filled with medical supplies and other urgently needed equipment. Equipment was even strapped to the roof!
John has been back to visit on subsequent trips with ambulances and the fire engine is still in operation.
